Little City Readers
Infants and Toddlers

Ages 4 months - 3 years

Using the 5 building blocks of early literacy: Read, Write, Sing, Play, and Talk this class is about growing on concepts each week, practicing following directions, communicating with others, learning to share, and building on early childhood education. Infants classes will be geared toward more signing, singing, stories, while toddler classes will be more letters and sensory stations getting them ready for circle time and preschool!

DROP IN
Why no drop-ins? The drop-in class model is definitely easier for parents and works well for entertainment classes, but it’s developmentally appropriate for your little ones to be in the same group and same class for several weeks. If you are interested in getting a sample of our class check out one of our pop up events or story times.

MAKE UP POLICY
Because of our strict student to teacher ratio, missed classes will not result in make-up classes, prorated tuition or refunds. No refunds for classes missed including scheduled holidays. Class time cannot be adjusted for changes in nap schedules.

SNACK POLICY

Bottle and breastfeeding welcome as needed, however please do not bring snacks as some children cannot have them and it becomes a distraction from the class. Thank you!

Small Group
Preschool through 5th grade

Ages 4 - 10 years

Whether your child needs a boost or LOVES reading + writing and wants a challenge, we have a group for them! Kids learn best with others. These groups are about a lot more than reading and writing. Each group begins with a group game. We practice listening to others, creating a safe space where we all support each other where we are in our reading journey. We then have some independent stations and 1:1 time. We'll practice building fluency with silly accents, speed reading with different emotion cue cards, and writing stories together. Each group is a little different based on student needs, but all groups are a little messy due to multi-sensory fun!

DROP OFF
Parents are welcome to stay in on classes and 1:1 sessions, but usually kiddos do best on their own. If you do stay give yourself enough time to park and get into class, but no more than 5 minutes early as other classes are getting out. If dropping off please be prepared to wait in your car until the time of class and make a note to be prompt for pick up time.
